Cosmetic Dentistry

This branch of dentistry is concerned with cosmetic treatments that aim at enhancing the radiance of our smile and the expression of our mouth.
Currently, dentistry introduces a key concept of prevention of oral diseases of any kind. Our smile reflects our esthetic image. (see definitions below)

Porcelain Veneers:
These consist of laminates or very thin layers made of porcelain that are adhesively bonded to the surface of a tooth to correct its discoloration and to improve its appearance.
Procedure: A small amount of the front surface of the tooth is removed (about 0,25 mm). Then, the veneer is placed carefully. This procedure can correct minor malposed teeth and restore discolored ones.

Cosmetic Restoration:
The desire to enjoy beauty and perfection is as old as mankind. Modern dentistry offers many possibilities for esthetic treatments. Such possibilities have led to progress in oral esthetics. Patients can now count on restorative dentistry as well as the very latest materials which are constantly developing in quality and esthetics. Even white teeth are considered as symbols of beauty, dynamism, youth, health and vitality.
Procedures: At FEC, we give treatments for discolored, malposed or misshapen teeth. These treatments are carried out using composite resins activated by halogen light.

Dental Implants

What is a dental implant?
It is an artificial tooth root replacement made of titanium that is used to compensate for tooth loss. This implant is placed in one-stage surgery under local anesthesia. This procedure is completely painless, during and after surgery. They can be single or multiple.

Multiple Implants
They are necessary if several dental pieces have been lost.

Single Implants
They are used to replace a single lost dental piece.

Teeth Whitening

As time goes by, teeth start losing their color and are stained from coffee, tea, smoking or normal aging. At our clinic, we provide the only Dental Whitening System activated by Plasma Arc Light (Remewhite).

Procedure:

Step 1: The color shade of the dental piece is determined using a shade guide.
Step 2: Teeth are cleaned.
Step 3: Hydrogen Peroxide gel is applied onto the teeth.
Step 4: The Plasma Arc Light equipment is placed to activate the gel.
Step 5: The gel is removed. This procedure (from step 2 until step 5) takes 20 minutes and is repeated twice.
Step 6: After the third application (approximately 60 minutes), the specialist checks the new shade of the teeth to document the results.
